mehrTRANSCO builds logistics center

The TRANSCO Group is building a new logistics center on the outskirts of Singen am Hohentwiel (Baden-Württemberg), close to the Swiss border, which is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026. The 52,000 m² site will feature 22,000 m² of storage space, a modern high-bay warehouse, an Autostore® system, and a large hazardous materials warehouse. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on September 19. With an investment of around €40 million, TRANSCO is significantly expanding its capacities and positioning itself as a key partner for complex supply chains in international freight transport.
Strategic investment in customer proximity and efficient logistics
The new building is a strategic response to trends such as e-commerce growth, nearshoring, and increasing sustainability requirements. TRANSCO relies on automated systems, flexible storage concepts, and the highest safety standards. Among other things, the site includes a hazardous materials warehouse with a gas warning system and gas extinguishing system that is unique in the region, making it particularly attractive for industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and aviation.
Singen's locational advantage: interface between the EU and Switzerland
The logistics center is located on the eastern outskirts of Singen, in close proximity to the local industrial cluster and around 10 km from the Swiss border. Its proximity to the highway and the Hupac terminal for freight rail transport in Singen ensures close integration with international transport routes by road and rail. This strengthens TRANSCO’s expertise in intermodal transport. Swiss companies expanding into the EU benefit from fast and smooth processes, as do regionally based companies.

Focus on sustainability
For TRANSCO, sustainability means more than just environmental protection. The new building complies with the BEG-40 standard. Photovoltaic systems, heat pumps, charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, and over 200 newly planted trees and 3,500 m² of habitat area for flora and fauna are all part of the concept. At the same time, modern equipment with automated storage and process solutions increases economic efficiency. Efficient use of space, short distances, and optimized processes ensure lower operating costs and stable prices. This benefits both TRANSCO and its customers.
